LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design):

As a part of the Canada Green Building Council, LEED is a third-party certification program that encourages the global adoption for green building and development projects. The organization provides the owners and operators of buildings with tools that allow them to create maximize the performance of their facilities. LEED is an excellent mean through which owners and operators that have shown initiative in their green building efforts can gain recognition at an international scale. By being a third party reviewer LEED can validate the achievements made by the owners and operators of green buildings and allows them to become better qualified for a growing field in government incentives.

BOMA BESt (Go Green):

BOMA BESt (Building Environmental Standards) is national program launched in 2005 by BOMA Canada, the program works to address the need for realistic standards for energy and environmental performance of already existing buildings. Formerly the BOMA Go Green program, BOMA BESt provides a variety of quantification processes. Along with recognition and certification of existing commercial buildings, BOMA BESt recognizes and provides education tools for buildings looking to become more environmentally friendly.
